They sit there for years drinking coffee and chatting on the telephone and then retire at 50 with nice fat pensions…

New York Times, May 23, 2010, a typical Greek:

In Athens, Aris Iordanidis, 25, an economics graduate working in a bookstore, resents paying high taxes to finance Greece’s bloated state sector and its employees. “They sit there for years drinking coffee and chatting on the telephone and then retire at 50 with nice fat pensions,” he said. “As for us, the way things are going we’ll have to work until we’re 70.”

Mexico versus United States Immigration laws

The facts on Mexican versus United States immigration laws.  President Calderon acknowledged that Mexico’s laws are tougher than those in the United States – after calling those of the United States racist.  Yet another socialist, lying, power-hungry politician:

We have learned something important since the days that I served in Vietnam

“We have learned something important since the days that I served in Vietnam, and you exemplify it. Whatever we think about the war, whatever we call it, Afghanistan or Iraq — we owe our military men and women unconditional support.” Richard Blumenthal, Norwalk in March 2008.

The only problem was he did not serve in Vietnam.

Blumenthal’s response: “On a few occasions I have misspoken about my service, and I regret that and I take full responsibility, but I will not allow anyone to take a few misplaced words and impugn my record of service to our country.”

[May 20, 2010 update, sounds like a lot more than “misplaced words”.  Sounds like Blumenthal is a lying politician:]

“I wore the uniform in Vietnam and many came back & to all kinds of disrespect. Whatever we think of war, we owe the men and women of the armed forces our unconditional support.”  Stamford Veterans Days parade: Nov. 9, 2008.

“When we returned from Vietnam, I remember the taunts, the verbal and even physical abuse we encountered.” May 18, 2009, Connecticut Post, tribute to veterans

Obama Administration authorizes killing of U.S. Citizen without trial

The Obama Administration authorized the killing of a United States citizen without a trial or judicial review.  The New York Times states:

“The notion that the government can, in effect, execute one of its own citizens far from a combat zone, with no judicial process and based on secret intelligence, makes some legal authorities deeply uneasy. … President Obama, who campaigned for the presidency against George W. Bush-era interrogation and detention practices, has implicitly invited moral and legal scrutiny of his own policies.”

Holder Criticizes Arizona Immigration Law That He Has Not Read

Holder Criticizes Arizona Immigration Law That He Has Not Read:

“I’ve just expressed concerns on the basis of what I’ve heard about the law. But I’m not in a position to say at this point, not having read the law, not having had the chance to interact with people are doing the review, exactly what my position is,” Eric Holder before the House Judiciary Committee, May 13, 2010.

Kind of reminiscent of Nancy Pelosi stating that “we have to pass the bill so that you can find out what is in it“.

One has to wonder about the lack of intelligence of these people who are being sent to Washington and how uninformed about the law.  It is apparent they are completely ignorant when it comes to the Constitution and the law.
