“This is all about hate and Islamaphobia.” Ron Paul

“This is all about hate and Islamaphobia.” Ron Paul, August 20, 2010

Ron Paul states that opposition to the mosque near Ground Zero “is all about hate and Islamaphobia” and that the “justification to ban the mosque is no more rational than banning a soccer field in the same place because all the suicide bombers loved to play soccer.”

With all due respect to Ron Paul, he is wrong.  Dismissing opposition as being due to “hate” and “Islamaphobia” is short-sighted and ignorant.  In a free country people are allowed to object and disagree.  One would think that someone who loves freedom as much as Ron Paul would understand that.  Few people are suggesting that the government should step in and stop the mosque, they are suggesting though that if the goal is really “out-reach” that the location be changed.

1099 Your Freedom Away – Reporting everything to the IRS with 1099s

Beginning January 1, 2012, you will be required to report just about everything to the IRS.  There has been some discussion recently about this in relation to gold, but it applies to everything if you purchase in aggregate over $600.  In other words purchases that add up to more than $600 over the course of a year require IRS form 1099 to be filed.  It applies to “all persons engaged in business.”  Clean someone’s house?  Mow a lawn?  Write an article?  Write a program?  Graphic design?  Realtor?

So if a  person buys a computer on January 1st for $399, paper and ink and printer for more than $202 on December 31st of that year from the same person or business (flea market, Bill’s Computer Condo, Office Depot) for their office, they are required to file IRS Form 1099.  Forgot about it over Continue reading 1099 Your Freedom Away – Reporting everything to the IRS with 1099s

A standing military force with an overgrown Executive will not long be safe companions to liberty. The means of defense against foreign danger have been always the instruments of tyranny at home.

Kagan Declines to say government has no power to tell Americans what to eat!

When asked to state whether the United States Constitution allows the Federal Government to mandate that people consume certain foods every day, Kagan would not say it did not. So much for the concept of “enumerated powers,” “limited government,” and the entire Constitution. Kagan has obviously no interest in the Constitution itself, merely her own power. What a disgrace to the concept of a Justice. Her view is judging by whim, not law.

Fascism at its best. Despots, tyrants, marxists, socialists and other dictators would love a woman who believed there was nothing the government couldn’t do – from ignoring the First Amendment to telling you what to eat.

Washington Post and “Retards” and “PaulTards”

Obama White House Chief of Staff called supporters “f-ing retard” and the Washington Post calls Ron Paul supporters “Paultards”  (“… pumping around the clock to get Paultard Tea Party people on TV.”)

You have to wonder about the low journalistic standards at the Washington Post.  Well, no, actually there is no need to wonder.  Classing the anti-freedom stenographers at the Washington Post “journalists” is an insult to true journalists.

Helen Thomas tells Jews to go back to Germany

Helen Thomas tells Jews to go back to Germany. Once Helen Thomas, Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, Barack Obama and the rest of Congress and the administration return to the native lands of their forefathers, then they can bring this up. After all, if you go back far enough no one is from the United States. If you only go back 500 years, well, everyone knows the history. How long has there been a Jewish presence in Israel? 4000 years or more?

Helen Thomas, racist and anti-semite.

Helen Thomas says: “Tell them to get the hell out of Palestine. Remember, these people are occupied and it’s their land. Not Germany. Not Poland.” When asked what the Jews should do, Thomas said “They go home. Poland. Germany. And America and everywhere else.”

Crist – a dishonest, unprincipled, power-hungry, lying, opportunist of a politician.

Crist complains it is “lonely” on the campaign trail and that his “friends” didn’t support his change of party.  A betraying politician and doesn’t understand why.  Crist’s problems are multi-fold:

1. He lied to voters and his “friends” in the Republican party repeatedly in 2010. When it didn’t look like he had a chance of winning, he broke his repeated promises. Now he doesn’t understand why any one with an ounce of honesty and character wants anything to do with him? Well, that just adds STUPIDITY to Crist’s flaws.

2. Crist ran on a party with principles based on freedom and then betrayed that. It shows Crist has one principle: POWER FOR HIMSELF. If he thinks that party is “too far right” it means that he is willing to sell out some of your freedom to gain power for himself instead of defending liberty.  Who wants a politician who is more concerned with his own power than your freedom?

3. “Lonely”?  Come on, be a man Charlie.  Stop crying about the consequences of the choices you made.  We elected someone who complains about being “lonely” on the campaign trail?  Come on, how old is Charlie Crist?  Four? Five?

4. Crist didn’t leave because of principles, he left because he couldn’t win.  Hearing Crist talk about principles is like hearing Mao talk about his fondness for liberty.  Why would ANYONE vote for someone who has NO PRINCIPLES?  You will have no idea who you are voting for, except someone who will do what is best, best for himself that is.

Sorry, Charlie, Florida wants politicians who are (a) honest, (b) keep their word, and (c) are willing to fight for freedom, not power.  Crist is none of those: he is an dishonest, unprincipled, power-hungry, lying, opportunist of a politician.  And since he doesn’t understand why he is unpopular after lying repeatedly to the citizens and voters of Florida, he must be stupid too.

Felipe Ramirez and Yeni Bentiz get it all wrong

Felipe Ramirez and Yeni Bentiz get it all wrong when quoted today.

Felipe Ramirez says “The irony of that statue [the Statue of Liberty], is that those poor and huddled masses are exactly the people who they don’t want to come. … there is a lot of xenophobia in the heartland, in the south.”  Felipe, I hate to burst your bubble, but poor huddled masses are perfectly welcome.  It is LAW-BREAKING people that are not welcome.  People who are willing to follow the LAW, they are more than welcome, the law-breaking, illegals are NOT.

For Felipe Ramirez, it must be a difficult concept to understand, the United States is a nation of laws.  It is the foundation of society.
