I personally don’t need some arrogant, left-leaning, holier-than-thou individual using the force of the government to dictate how I should act. If I see someone who I believe needs and deserves my help and I have the ability to provide that help, I will do so. It is all about a single word: freedom. Those such as the letter writer have no problem forcing their will upon other members of society.
