Corp man is “Corpse man” according the President Obama and the Press “Corpse” ignores it.

If President Bush had said “corpse man” instead of “corps man” the press would have been all over it.  Instead the stenographers in Washington ignore it.  I should say, the “Press Corpse” in Washington ignores it.

How appropriate that the President would refer to them as the “Press Corpse” – they are dead to their jobs and let personal biases guide their reporting.

Lech Walesa’s warning to America about world leadership

The United States is only one superpower. Today they lead the world. Nobody has doubts about it. Militarily.  They also lead economically but they’re getting weak. But they don’t lead morally and politically anymore.  The world has no leadership.  The United States was always the last resort and hope for all other nations.  There was the hope, whenever something was going wrong, one could count on the United States.  Today, we lost that hope.

Specter tells Bachmann to “act like a lady”

I’m going to treat you like a lady. Now act like one.  – Arlen Specter to Michele Bachmann

Along those lines and much more importantly, we suggest that Arlen Specter start acting like someone who has actually read the Constitution, act like someone who cares about his oath to protect and defend the Constitution, and act like someone who cares about freedom more than his own power.

10 Tips for the GOP in 2010, well 11 tips.

In the Wall Street Journal, January 10, 2010 Clark S. Judge give the GOP ten tips for 2010.  All are valuable tips, but we would like to add an eleventh tip which will help enable the agenda of liberty and freedom.  Specifically:

Clark S. Judge makes some terrific points in his January 11, 2010 article, however I believe that the Republicans are missing a big opportunity if they do not add a number eleven to his list.  Republicans – and Democrats – lament that it is difficult to keep the electorate engaged for long periods, thus the Democrats have created a state of perpetual chaos and crisis while proposing coercion from Washington as the solution.  Republicans need an issue that Continue reading 10 Tips for the GOP in 2010, well 11 tips.

FBI Broke the law for years

The Washington Post today reports that the FBI collected more than 2000 telephone call records between 2002 and 2006 illegally.  Yet again, it is shown that the government can not be trusted to follow its own laws and absolute power corrupts absolutely.  When will the people learn that the Founders knew what they are talking about?  They knew the only way to preserver liberty was to limit the powers of government.

There is no room for racism, anti-Semitism, or other forms of ethnic and racial hatred in this country.

“The glory of this land has been its capacity for transcending the moral evils of our past. For example, the long struggle of minority citizens for equal rights, once a source of disunity and civil war, is now a point of pride for all Americans. We must never go back. There is no room for racism, anti-Semitism, or other forms of ethnic and racial hatred in this country.”
Ronald Reagan

Back home, everybody thinks for themselves. All those decisions to make. Here, one man thinks for everyone. Hogan’s Heroes

Miss Smythe-Beddoes: Colonel, you had an opportunity to observe the new Germany and the United States. Now, how would you compare them?
Hogan: Oh… no comparison at all. Back home, everybody thinks for themselves. All those decisions to make. Here, one man thinks for everyone. Saves a lot of wear and tear.
I’m, uh… I mean, take the Russian front. That was Hitler’s idea, yet I think it’s so wonderful you don’t hear one word of criticism about it.

Hogan, Hogan’s Heroes, Who Stole My Copy of Mein Kampf? (1969)

Sounds like we’ll be having one person think for everyone on certain topics going forward here now too!

…capitalism or socialism is we are going to have both…

But the other part of human nature is communitarianism. There’s a natural tendency of human beings, in addition to wanting to do things for themselves, they feel a great responsibility in wanting to be part of a community. So I think the debate for the new generation is instead of capitalism or socialism is we are going to have both and which proportion of each should we have in order to make this all work. Its a much more sensible debate. Howard Dean, DNC, 4/5/2009, Paris, France

Howard Dean needs to learn the difference between doing something voluntarily and being forced to do something.   Socialism is forced, communitarianism is not.  Communitarianism is “small self-governing communities” not mammoth government from Washington.  It is time Howard Dean learns the facts before he speaks.
