Kagan Declines to say government has no power to tell Americans what to eat!

When asked to state whether the United States Constitution allows the Federal Government to mandate that people consume certain foods every day, Kagan would not say it did not. So much for the concept of “enumerated powers,” “limited government,” and the entire Constitution. Kagan has obviously no interest in the Constitution itself, merely her own power. What a disgrace to the concept of a Justice. Her view is judging by whim, not law.

Fascism at its best. Despots, tyrants, marxists, socialists and other dictators would love a woman who believed there was nothing the government couldn’t do – from ignoring the First Amendment to telling you what to eat.

Crist – a dishonest, unprincipled, power-hungry, lying, opportunist of a politician.

Crist complains it is “lonely” on the campaign trail and that his “friends” didn’t support his change of party.  A betraying politician and doesn’t understand why.  Crist’s problems are multi-fold:

1. He lied to voters and his “friends” in the Republican party repeatedly in 2010. When it didn’t look like he had a chance of winning, he broke his repeated promises. Now he doesn’t understand why any one with an ounce of honesty and character wants anything to do with him? Well, that just adds STUPIDITY to Crist’s flaws.

2. Crist ran on a party with principles based on freedom and then betrayed that. It shows Crist has one principle: POWER FOR HIMSELF. If he thinks that party is “too far right” it means that he is willing to sell out some of your freedom to gain power for himself instead of defending liberty.  Who wants a politician who is more concerned with his own power than your freedom?

3. “Lonely”?  Come on, be a man Charlie.  Stop crying about the consequences of the choices you made.  We elected someone who complains about being “lonely” on the campaign trail?  Come on, how old is Charlie Crist?  Four? Five?

4. Crist didn’t leave because of principles, he left because he couldn’t win.  Hearing Crist talk about principles is like hearing Mao talk about his fondness for liberty.  Why would ANYONE vote for someone who has NO PRINCIPLES?  You will have no idea who you are voting for, except someone who will do what is best, best for himself that is.

Sorry, Charlie, Florida wants politicians who are (a) honest, (b) keep their word, and (c) are willing to fight for freedom, not power.  Crist is none of those: he is an dishonest, unprincipled, power-hungry, lying, opportunist of a politician.  And since he doesn’t understand why he is unpopular after lying repeatedly to the citizens and voters of Florida, he must be stupid too.

Felipe Ramirez and Yeni Bentiz get it all wrong

Felipe Ramirez and Yeni Bentiz get it all wrong when quoted today.

Felipe Ramirez says “The irony of that statue [the Statue of Liberty], is that those poor and huddled masses are exactly the people who they don’t want to come. … there is a lot of xenophobia in the heartland, in the south.”  Felipe, I hate to burst your bubble, but poor huddled masses are perfectly welcome.  It is LAW-BREAKING people that are not welcome.  People who are willing to follow the LAW, they are more than welcome, the law-breaking, illegals are NOT.

For Felipe Ramirez, it must be a difficult concept to understand, the United States is a nation of laws.  It is the foundation of society.

BlueCross BlueShield would not lower my annual premiums by an average of $2500 today

After the historic, infamous, vote yesterday, I called BlueCross BlueShield today to ask if I should divide the $2500 in average annual savings over the next 12 months – I figured I’d just subtract $200/month and let them keep the extra $100 for the year. I said that the President had promised me that I was going to save that much per year and that given that health insurance reform would take effect tomorrow, I would beat the rush to find out how to save the money.

They laughed.

I even sent them this link in order to show them that I had been promised the savings many, many times over the last 18 months:

The next step will be to portray the insurance companies as evil because they have not reduced premiums, increased coverage and lowered costs. The is about controlling you and your life from Washington, not health care.

Throw out the old flag along with the Constitution…

With the “Health Insurance” vote, it has become clear of the two major parties, there is one party of freedom and one party of totalitarianism.  Anyone intellectually honest knows the Constitution prohibits government actions such as this (or the Patriot Act for that matter). To see a document of enumerated, limited powers twisted into the opposite by power-hungry politicians sworn to protect and defend it is disgusting. The Founders are not just spinning in their graves, they have spun so fast they have completely disintegrated.  Just like the protections in the Constitution.

So, the United States can now throw out the old flag while Congress throws out the last vestiges of the Constitution.  As such, a more modern flag is needed.  Several contenders to replace the old “Stars and Stripes” with a more timely flag are shown below.

Which do you prefer?  Let us know in the comments!

All this talk about rules…we make em up as we go along-Alcee Hastings

Incoherent, arrogant, Democrat Rep Alcee Hastings (D-FL) states “we make [the rules] up as we go along.” Talk about a crooked politician. Alcee Hastings needs to go.  His full quotation:

“I wish that I had been there when Thomas Edison made the remark that I think applies here. ‘They ain’t no rules around here, we’re trying to accomplish something.’ And therefore, when the deal goes down, all of this talk about rules – we make ‘em up as we go along.

Think about this: Alcee Hastings was impeached by the House and convicted by the Senate for bribery and perjury. And then the people of Palm Beach County elected him to the House of Representatives. Now he acknowledges that he makes up the rules as they go along. So much for an oath to protect and defend the Constitution. So much for the rule of law – this is the rule of whim. Hastings should resign.
And what Edison actually was reported to have said was: There ain’t no rules around here, we’re trying to accomplish something.   He did not say “They ain’t know rules around here.”  While Rep Hastings may not like “rules,” he swore to uphold the largest – the Constitution and plainly is either too ignorant or too uninformed to do so.

If those people think they’re only going to vote on this once, they’re nuts

“If those people think they’re only going to vote on this once, they’re nuts,” Senator Hatch said.

The problem with this statement is that it is unlikely that the House or Senate will have to vote on the Bill again.  If the House “deems” the Senate Bill passed and votes on amendments (“reconciliation”), Speaker Pelosi will certify that the House has “passed” the Senate version of the bill and a group of amendments to it as a separate entities.  The amendments will be sent to the Senate and the original Senate Bill will be sent to the President to sign.  Voila, the United States will have socialized health care.  No need for more votes.  Again, this is if the House makes use of the “deem and pass” shenanigans that have been threatened.

Certainly none of the Senate Democrats will then… Continue reading If those people think they’re only going to vote on this once, they’re nuts

300 million people chained at the neck to each other over health insurance.

Senator Harry Reid is hitting back at ads that claim that Sheikh Mohamed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, ruler of Dubai, is using slave labor at home to build the Gulf city-state. And they state: “Slave labor in Dubai. Union labor in Las Vegas. And both the slave bosses and the union bosses want Harry Reid re-elected. Go figure.”

Slave labor outside the US? That is small potatoes compared to what happens when you can have 300 million people chained at the neck to each other over health insurance.  But it leaves Reid and others as the masters over everyone else, with power over life and death.  Just want the power-hungry politicians want – dependent parasites.

Obama’s behavior at State of the Union “very troubling” – Roberts

“On the other hand, there is the issue of the setting, the circumstances and the decorum. The image of having the members of one branch of government standing up, literally surrounding the Supreme Court, cheering and hollering while the court — according the requirements of protocol — has to sit there expressionless, I think is very troubling.” – Chief Justice John Roberts, March 9, 2010
