“This is all about him being a bully and a punk. I wanted to punch him in his head.” NJ Democrat Senate President Stephen Sweeney on NJ’s Governor.

[N]ow you have the Republicans, who want to literally drag us all the way back to Jim Crow laws… DNC Chair Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz (FL), June 7, 2011
Wasserman Schultz is either insane or a pathological liar to make a statement like that.
So much for “The New Civility.”
The war on women that the Republicans have been waging since they took over the House, I think is going to not only restore but possibly helps us exceed the president’s margin of victory in the next election” Rep. Debbie Wasserman Shultz
The New Civility at work – lest Wasserman Shultz forgot (maybe she “Sees nothing, knows nothing, and hears nothing“) the Republican Party had a female Vice President on the ticket in 2008.
That sure sounds anti-women to me.
[T]he president’s problems are in large measure because of the color of his skin. – Jim Clyburn, May, 25, 2011
Rep. Clyburn needs to understand that just because he is a racist and judges people based on the color of their skin, it doesn’t mean that most people do. In fact most people don’t care about your skin color. Get over it, the “racism” card could have played 40 or 50 years ago, but not any more. Let’s look at his comment:
1. President Obama is elected, and then the racism starts? Give it up, that is crazy.
2. According to the President, he is half-white, and felt like he was coming home to Ireland. But so what. President Obama’s skin color does not matter. Or is Rep Clyburn embracing the “one drop” theory from two centuries ago? One would hope he was more knowledgable and intelligent than that.
Most of President Obama’s critics base their criticism on policy. There are few who are old-fashioned dinosaurs like Rep. Clyburn who believe that the color of someone’s skin is at all relevant, but most people realized how stupid that was decades ago.
Skin color is irrelevant just as eye color and hair color are. The racist is the one hiding behind skin color to avoid legitimate criticism.
Is this “The New Civility” at work again? When you can’t counter an argument you rely on scaring people and playing the race card.
It is great to note though that not a single member of the democrat controlled Senate voted for the Obama Budget proposal this year. Are Obama’s troubles in the Senate due to the “color of his skin”?
“[W]ould you have then preferred the death of the president as opposed to bin Laden?” – MSNBC’s Martin Bashir to Former Rep. Tom Tancredo (R-CO)
Tancredo “Of course not, my God.”
The New Civility at work at MSNBC.
After seeing women carrying signs saying “Keep your Boehner out of my Vagina!” it has been a bang up day for “the new civility.” To the women who have the sign, two things:
(1) Keep your vagina out of my wallet, and
(2) we don’t want to be involved with your vagina, which is the point – stop forcing us to fund your vagina.
We don’t want the government in the bedroom, the wallet, or any part of you or anyone else.
Once you invite the government in, it becomes a political issue. The answer is, don’t invite the government in in the first place.
What we have here is a flea, wagging a tail, wagging a dog,” said Schumer, chairman of the Senate Democratic Policy Committee. The Hill.
In a day full of “new civility” from Democrats in Washington, Chuck Schumer couldn’t resist joining in the “love.”
The Palm Beach Post is reporting that white powder was sent to Representative Allen West’s Boca Raton (R-FL) office with a letter mentioning “anthrax.”
The New Civility at work again. Not to mention racism.
“Republicans want to shut down the government because they think there’s nothing more important than keeping women from getting cancer screenings. This is indefensible and everyone should be outraged,” Harry Reid said on the Senate floor, April 8, 2011
Senator Reid is again demonstrating President Obama’s “New Civility” which was instituted in January 2011.
Senator Reid, Republicans want FREEDOM to CHOOSE where to get their cancer screenings and not be reliant upon Washington, DC for cancer screenings. The people of the United States do not need to be ruled and controlled from Washington. We are quite capable of getting along with our lives without power-hungry politicians attempting to control us. We do not want to force our neighbors to pay for our health care while you control the money and thereby control us.
Does a statement like that represent “The New Civility” that we were told in January was required going forward? Or was that only for political purposes at the time?
We do not want women to have to wait months for screenings and surgery when needed like the BBC reported was occurring in their state-controlled system.
