A proposal that would increase current tax credits from two to five percent of productions costs for shows considered “family friendly.” This would not include shows that featured “gay characters.”
Florida, how about being “family friendly” by lowering taxes for everyone? Come on, this is as stupid as judging someone by the color of their skin or the color of their eyes.

With all due respect to the Mayor, the time has come to break Detroit up. Big cities that can’t support themselves are ripe to be broken up into smaller, more responsive, less corrupt areas that will take into account the will of their residents.
Moving people out of “blighted” areas by force? This sounds like something out of East Germany and the USSR. Mr Mayor, this is a free country and this type of action is something that Stalin or Mao would do.
Pro-growth policies and smaller government are the only way to save and revitalize Detroit (and other large cities). More of the same old failed policies -and worse, as this one is- will only lead to more people leaving the city.
Saying “no” is a moral imperative to protect the freedom guaranteed by the U.S. Constitution. Saying “no” is admirable if it is pro-liberty. Compromising your principles when the result is a loss of freedom for the country is immoral and a violation of Congress’ oath to uphold and defend the Constitution.
Realize that the doctor’s fight against socialized medicine is your fight. We can’t socialize the doctors without socializing the patients. Recognize that government invasion of public power is eventually an assault upon your own business. If some among you fear taking a stand because you are afraid of reprisals from customers, clients, or even government, recognize that you are just feeding the crocodile hoping he’ll eat you last.
If all of this seems like a great deal of trouble, think what’s at stake. We are faced with the most evil enemy mankind has known in his long climb from the swamp to the stars. There can be no security anywhere in the free world if there is no fiscal and economic stability within the United States. Those who ask us to trade our freedom for the soup kitchen of the welfare state are architects of a policy of accommodation.

The Washington Post today reports that the FBI collected more than 2000 telephone call records between 2002 and 2006 illegally. Yet again, it is shown that the government can not be trusted to follow its own laws and absolute power corrupts absolutely. When will the people learn that the Founders knew what they are talking about? They knew the only way to preserver liberty was to limit the powers of government.

In order for collectivists (socialists, progressives, fascists, communists, etc.) to check their morality, they need only remove government as the intermediary of their programs. When they are exposed as clubbing other people for “charity,” housing rights, medical rights, job rights and all the other rights inimical to the right to self-ownership, property, and the liberty to use it, their brute force will lay naked for all to see. That they rely on government agents to do their mugging for them is an indication of their bravery. I think he wants to create a socialist country. The people he associates with are very Left-wing. One is registered as a Communist. Obama is following Marxist theory. He’s taken over the banks and the car industry. He wants the country to fail.
